Will Andy Murray Ever Win A Grand Slam?
Andy Murray is the highest ranked tennis player even though he hasn’t won any Grand Slam yet, he is ranked 4th in the World. Incredible achievement but will this guy ever win a Grand Slam? Lots of his fans believe he can win a Grand Slam today but when will that day come? I have already broken two toasters, a digital radio and a macbook while watching his matches and I don’t want to be in the same situation again. It was accident how I broke those things though I was watching Wimbledon and while walking down the stairs in excitement I dropped a macbook and then stepped on the digital radio.
Going back to Andy Murray. Last few ATP tournaments of his he has beaten top players to win these tournaments so he can beat them. He has beaten both World number 1 and 2 this year in an ATP tournament in Toronto this year, so he can beat them and win them. So he has the game to beat top players, it just seems in grand slams he doesn’t have that power and strength to topple these guys.
He needs to up his game in the future in Grand Slams if he wants to win one in 2011 and let’s hope he does. He needs to be more aggressive and attack his opponents. In the shorter version of the match he seems to attach with the right shots and gets it right most of the times. Although he was convincingly beaten by Federer in the two Grand Slam finals he has reached, he has to learn to attack more. I just hope in 2011 he will be ready for a touch challenge and atleast win one Grand Slam. His best hope is Australian and US Open but Nadal doesn’t seem to give anything away.
