One thing I always concentrate on when dealing with my weight loss clients is that there are no shortcuts worth taking that could jeopardize your health.

Skipping meals, or worse, taking extremely powerful diet pills are NOT the answer, and can only lead to worse problems down the line.  Resist these temptations and instead use healthy techniques to get the body you deserve!

1.  Don’t hide your eating, eat with others always.

This seems basic at first, but what are we really after in saying it?  Asian children typically don’t eat alone…they wait until a combined meal with their Parents to show respect, basically making sure Mom and Dad are getting their food along with them. 

This unintentional action helps rapid weight loss in a big way, because my most troubled students have a pattern of eating alone, when everyone else has gone to bed, or sneaking off to the kitchen to quickly munch on something.

Whenever you’re tempted for a cheat session remind yourself of the rule that you’re never going to eat alone if it’s not time for your next meal regularly. 

2.  Eat only when you are hungry, and only when you are in a calm environment.

Too often we let our lives dictate when we eat and how we eat instead of the other way around.  Instead I want you to take time to properly sit down and have a dedicated meal, without outside distractions like work, the computer, or other things that interrupt you.  Even eating in your car is a mistake, as your brain can’t fully transition over to focus solely on the action of eating.

Take time to eat without distractions and you’ll not only enjoy every meal more, your brain will make you feel more full for far more time than otherwise…which keeps you from overeating while not going hungry and enables rapid weight loss to occur!
