The Nintendo Wii console: Does it live up to the hype?

A multitude of unique features, unlike anything seen in gaming history are available with the Nintendo Wii console.  The Nintendo Wii is more than just a bolus of new, exciting, and inventive gameplay.The new console allows access to different channels that are used as interplay during large battles and it can switch among different games.The Forcast Channel, the Internent Channel and the News Channel are some of the channels.More channels are coming soon.  Another feature that is unique to the Nintendo Wii console is the introduction of the Virutal Console.  This offers the bulk of online content available on the Nintendo Wii.  This feature works by allowing the owner to purchase a wide array of games on multiple platforms such as NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sega Genesis, Turbo-grafix, and Neo-Geo.  These gaming titles are purchased with Wii Points.In the virtual community, this system functions as currency.  Wii points can be purchased at retail stores or in the online community.  The only disadvantage to the Nintendo Wii console is the amount of download time that it takes for these downloads.It takes anywhere from one to ten minutes to fully download.
