If we are overweight, we automatically think that to get ourselves back into shape, that we must eat less and exercise more. This is simply not true. Taking on increased exercise means that our bodies will need the sufficient calories. There is no use eating nothing and pounding away in the gym, this will just make us exhausted, and can be extremely dangerous. Having made the crucial decision to lose tone up our bodies and get back into shape, we need to look at our level of fitness as well as our lifestyle, to see which plan or regime is best for us. Focusing our mind on our decision is of the utmost importance here, and knowing that our conscious and subconscious are in agreement. If our subconscious sends out negative messages which over ride the conscious, we will never achieve our goal. The line between the conscious and the subconscious is a very fine point, also known as the crucial point. First we must check that our mind is focused and in control of our actions, then we can start with our chosen plan or regime.

Instead of desperately trying to lose weight, we can easily change those excess pounds, especially around the stomach, into muscle. if we have the correct diet and exercise plan, then we can easily turn those excess pounds of fat into muscle. It is encouraged by the quicker functioning of the metabolic rate, the metabolism being our fat burning control unit. A diet rich in protein is also a great way to encourage our bodies to build up muscle. Proteins can be seen as building blocks for muscle, and a protein rich diet, combined with exercise will encourage the growth of muscle. By eating more regularly, but in smaller portions we are also encouraging the increase in speed of our metabolic rate, allowing us to shift the excess fat and create muscle.

What is of key importance here is our body’s ability to make muscle out of excess fat. This obviously means, contrary to popular believe, that you do not need to lose weight to shape up and look good. A sensible exercise plan, and a good, healthy diet will get our bodies working the way the were designed to. We must make sure that we have made a conscious decision to change our bodies for good, and from there on in, we will see the changes start to happen with the introduction of a sensible diet and exercise plan.
