Ridge At Alta Vista Neighborhood In Austin, Texas

Surrounded by the beauty of the Balcones Canyonland Preserve, the Ridge at Alta Vista neighborhood is a luxurious gated community located along Ranch Road 620 on the west of Austin. Its position on a ridge overlooking Texas Hill Country gives it the reputation of having some of the most gorgeous views in the area. Residents will enjoy family friendly atmosphere and a variety of recreational opportunities while being just 18 miles from the downtown area.

The Ridge at Alta Vista was established by the Toll Brothers, an elite homebuilder in the Austin area. Technically a part of the city of Lakeway, the subdivision is one of the only gated communities in the city, which adds an extra level of privacy and safety for its residents. All individuals living here are required to be a part of the Ridge at Alta Vista Homeowners Association, which is a monthly fee of $85. For details about the Association, visit www.lakewayrav.com.

A stroll through the neighborhood will reveal spacious, elegant homes, many of which are built to take advantage of the stunning surroundings. Within the subdivision, homes are split into two distinct sections – The Estates and The Reserves. Properties in the Estates begin in the $400,000 range and go up to $700,000 and offer spacious floor plans with 3-4 car garages. Along the edge of the neighborhood is the Enclave at Alta Vista, which is a group of townhomes that were also built by the Toll Brothers.

The luxurious community offers several amenities that are ideal for all ages. The community clubhouse is one of the most impressive features. Spanning 5,000 square feet, it offers a fully equipped fitness center, media room, billiard’s room, and tennis and basketball courts. Residents can also take a swim in the junior-Olympic sized swimming pool, which has five lap swimming lanes, a children’s wading pool, and a recreational swimming area. The clubhouse also has a men and women’s locker room.

Lake Travis, known as the largest recreational lake in the state, is only a few miles away from The Ridge at Alta Vista. Its clean waters make it a great spot for those wishing to swim, fish, Jet Ski, or even sail. And, when it’s time for a break, the shoreline is filled with several dining venues that serve a wide range of cuisine. For cyclists, Ranch Road 620 boasts wide bike lanes and sweeping views, making it one of the most beautiful paths in Austin.

Children in the Ridge at Alta Vista neighborhood usually attend schools that are a part of the Lake Travis Independent School District, all of which are highly rated. This includes Lakeway Elementary School, Lake Travis Middle School, and Lake Travis High School. The area’s pre-schools are also recognized for their excellent curriculum. Some nearby schools include Primrose School of Bee Cave, Montessori School of the Epiphany, and Kids R Kids.

The Vista Ridge Shopping Center is located in the neighborhood and offers a Randall’s Grocery Store, coffee shop, hair salon, and more. Another popular shopping spot is the Lakeway Towne Centere, located along Ranch Road 620. It boasts well-known stores and dining venues like Embellish, Café Rema, and The Donut Hole.
